Perusing through The Foodie Miles food blog run by Yulia (last name not included; check out the link in blogroll), one may currently find her adventures through New Orleans. But, with a few more glances, one might find this hidden treasure: the best pizza in Boston.
Yulia’s suggestion is MAST‘, an Italian restaurant in Beacon Hill. In her words, her Italian friends described it as tasting authentic, like a pizza in Italy. Her inclusion of photos helps with that estimation: the crust is fluffy but just crisped by a wood-fire oven, the sauce does not look chunky, and it’s topped with slices of mozarella and basil, rather than with a spread of “Italian cheese mixture.”
I’ll have to check it out and report back, but for now, it’s great to know one can find authentic pizza here in Boston. The prices seem a bit high, but if the pizza is as good as she says, I’m willing to pay.
